Kamalinee debuted in Phir Milenge. She played Shilpa Shetty's younger sister in the movie. The film's story was praised and though it was not a huge commercial success it was appreciated a great deal. However Kamalinee wasn't noticed in her performance as a girl whose older sister has been tested positive for HIV.In the same year she starred in the Telugu film Anand. This is the role she was waiting for, as it got her tremendous recognition and acoolades.Her next film was also in Telugu, Style.She romanced Sumanth in the Teleugu film Godavari .She was seen in the Tamil movie Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, starring Kamal Hassan and Jyotika.In the Telugu film Classmates she played the role of Razia.Continuing her stint with Tollywood, she acted in Pellaindi Kaani.In she was seen in Jalsa, another Telugu film.Kamalinee then showed her acting prowess in the Malayalam film Kutty Srank: The Sailor of Hearts.In the romantic Tollywood flick Gopi Gopika Godavari she plays Gopika.
